Rambling from the Roost: Volume 14

Time just seems to be flying by these days. It’s been a busy few weeks here at the Roost. I’m back from the blogging conference that I attended in Atlanta, Georgia. If you are not familiar, it is a conference where bloggers, creators, and influencers gather to learn and share all the latest things that are happening in the home decor world.

Many popular brands are there such as Benjamin Moore, Home Depot, Amerock, Carpet One, Power Planter, (one of my favorite booths to visit), and Southern Living Plant Collection as well as many more.

One of my blogging friends summed up the conference by putting it this way. ‘Attending the Haven conference is like getting a whole semester of school all in three days.’

It’s busy.

It’s fun.

And, I absolutely love going to Haven. Getting to see my friends in person is the best. We meet a few times a year and come in from every state in the U.S. and Canada.

Each year at the conference you get assigned a mentor. This year I had Jenaise from MsViciousDesign. Jenasie has an amazing eye for vintage besides being a sweetheart! I learned so much from her. (second from the left in the photo above)

On the far left, meet Ashley from At Home with Ashley. Ashley has the prettiest blog and home, all decorated in pastel colors.

What I’ve been up to this past week

Since it’s been a few days so since we chatted last, I thought I would catch you up on some of the things I’ve working on.

I’m not rushing the end of summer, Let’s get that out of the way. But I have been busy planning out new ideas to transition my home over to fall decor. I’m excited to share them with you.

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather and temperature cool down just a bit, making my morning walks slightly crisper and the colors here in New York are fantastic. Do you have a change of seasons where you live?

For now, I’m hanging on to the days of summer for a few more weeks.

In the meantime, I’ve also been excited to update my fall wardrobe. It’s time. I needed a few new things and who can resist these great prices?

This is what was on my porch waiting for me to come home
