7 Spring Table Decorating Ideas – Bringing in Texture

My 7 Spring Table Decorating Ideas are all about adding texture! Today I’m sharing with you the fourth of my Five Senses of Spring Series.

How many ways can you add texture to your table? Let me count the ways!

With the arrival of Spring comes new life to all things. Do you add new life to your home for Spring? Our Spring Table Decorating shouldn’t be left out when thinking about how to spruce up our homes! In fact, it’s one of the best ways to change up your decor with a new look!

Adding texture is one of my favorite things to do when styling my home. Whether it be with tablescapes, foyers, entryways, living rooms, or front porches. Different textures are always key to creating a visually appealing view.

First up, is the gorgeous texture of forsythia branches.

If you do nothing else this spring, add a few forsythia branches around your home. Nothing says Spring like fresh or faux forsythia’s!

Textures of Spring

Spring can reveal itself in so many ways. Here are a few that make me take note that Spring has finally arrived!

  • Flower petals
  • Raindrops on your cheeks
  • Pussy willows
  • Toes in the grass
  • Melting snow
  • Potting seeds
  • Birds nests
  • Gardening

Second, one of my favorite Spring Table Decorating Ideas is to add birds to my decor. I’ve added several different textures here by combining the bird’s nest, the ceramic bird sculpture, and dishes, along with a Verde stone planter and ivy! I’ve also added these lovely white ‘birds nest’ placemats!]

Aren’t these colors so fun for Spring? Third, add brown, green, and bunnies for Spring fever and Your Spring Table Decorating Ideas! I love the texture of these washed skinny table runners on my tables!

Rattan and wicker have a fabulous texture and can be used in any season, especially Springtime!

Bunny pillow anyone? My dinner table always includes a pillow or two for comfort while sitting. There was no way I could resist this sweet pillow. (for those of you that don’t know, we have a real bunny hopping around our home named Cannoli! He’s the sweetest!)

Fourth on my list is this darling ‘coil’ bird’s nest. This nest is full of texture. From the bed coil base to the fine little bird sitting inside, it’s perfect for your Spring table decorating.  I made it last year in a class with a friend Wendy from WMDesignhouse. If you’re not subscribed to Wendy’s page you definitely should, her ideas are charming!

Fifth up is my Romantic Pink Tablesetting with various textures from dishes, chargers, and tablecloths. Pink is so beautiful all year through.

Last but not least is a simple green on a green, textured idea. Many times just adding faux greenery is the perfect solution to sprucing up for Spring!
