Rambling from the Roost: Volume 22
Well, friend — pull up a chair, because there is so much to catch you up on. Life at the Roost has been full — in the very best way. From a few new finds that have made me ridiculously happy, to some recipe experimenting that has been keeping me very busy in the kitchen, and some fresh inspiration that has been stirring around every corner of the house — I have a feeling you’re going to want to settle in for this one. Grab something warm to sip and let’s get to rambling!

A Top I Can’t Stop Reaching For
Okay, can we just talk about the kind of find that makes you want to call someone immediately? I stumbled across this top on Amazon a little while back, and I liked it so much, I ended up ordering it in several colors. It is that comfortable. The kind of comfortable that is still presentable enough to wear out — which, as we know, is the holy grail.
I love it because it falls perfectly on my hips, it’s not too tight or clinging, and it flatters a mid-size midsection.
I’ll link it below (comes in many colors) (tap on photo below) so you can grab it for yourself — because honestly, you deserve a top that feels like a hug.
What’s Been Happening in My Kitchen
This is the section where I confess that I may have gone a little recipe-crazy lately. I have been experimenting in the kitchen — testing, tasting, tweaking — and Andrew has been a very willing taste tester. (He’s a good sport, that one.)
Recipes I’ve Already Shared
A few of my recent experiments have already made their way onto the blog — and if you haven’t tried them yet, I hope you will! LINK TO RECIPES HERE] I’d love to know what you think if you give any of them a go.

One More I’ve Been Testing…
There are two more recipes I’ve been working on — I have photos, I have notes, I have opinions — but I haven’t officially shared them yet. I’m curious: would you like me to post them? Drop a comment below and let me know, and if the answer is yes, I’ll get to them on the blog for you!
I’m calling this my Mediterranean Seafood Skillet. It has fresh baby spinach, Kalamata olives, capers, and cherry tomatoes.

My Garlic Shrimp with Zucchini Noodles was a huge hit.

What’s Inspiring Me Around the Roost
This is my favorite part to share — the little things that have been making the house feel fresh and alive lately.
An Olive Tree is Calling My Name 🌿
I have been eyeing an indoor olive tree for my living room, and I think it might finally be time. There is something about a big, beautiful, silvery-green tree indoors that makes a room feel like it’s breathing — like the space just exhales and settles into itself. So romantic, so European, so exactly the vibe I’ve been chasing for that corner. I keep coming back to it.
I’m still in the looking stage — but I have a feeling it won’t be long before one finds its way home to the Roost. I’ll keep you posted! Have you ever had an indoor olive tree? I would love to know your experience with them — drop a comment below!
The “silvery-green” and “romantic, European” touches felt very you and very fitting for your French countryside aesthetic!
Here are a few of my choices. (Tap to shop) I would need a 7 ft to 8 ft tree with our high 10-foot ceiling, which feels like a big commitment.
Wisteria Everywhere — And I Mean Everywhere
I picked up some gorgeous faux wisteria stems a while back, and I have been having the best time tucking them into unexpected spots around the house. Over a doorway, trailing through a vignette on the sideboard, draped near the windows — they bring this dreamy, romantic quality that I just can’t get enough of right now. Spring is calling and I am answering.

I’ll link them below so you can grab some for yourself — they are so versatile and so worth it!
Swapping Out My Pillow Covers
Sometimes the simplest change makes the biggest difference — and that is exactly what happened when I switched out my pillow covers. Fresh covers, completely different feeling in the room. It’s one of those little refreshes I always forget how much I love until I do it.
I put together a little LTK collection with some of my favorites if you want to shop the look! 👇
A Little Peek Behind the Scenes
I also wanted to share that I’ve been busy sourcing some new items for the shop — and I am so excited about what’s coming. I love the process of finding things that feel special, well-made, and worthy of a place in your home. Stay tuned — I think you’re going to love what I’ve been putting together. I’ll keep you posted as things come in!
