Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bunch Brussel Sprout leaves
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
  • Olive Oil

Instructions
 

  • Cut the tops of the leaves off of the bright green brussel sprout stem.
  • Fill a large bowl with cold running water and let leaves soak for a minute or two.
  • Continue to thoroughly wash the outer leaves and give them a good rinse in cold water to remove any sand or dirt.
  • Follow with a salad spinner or pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Heat a stock pot with water.
  • Once the pot of water is at a rolling boil, place leaves in the pot, and blanch them for about three minutes.
  • Remove from water and strain.
  • Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add garlic crushed.
  • Once strained, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the Brussels sprout leaves to the hot oil, tossing continually until golden brown.
  • Add garlic powder, a bit of garlic garlic salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (optional). Serve warm.
